Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Arrive New Delhi

On arrival at the New Delhi airport at you will be met by our representative who will take you to your hotel in New Delhi.

Day 2New Delhi – Corbett (by surface 275/5 -6 hrs.)

After breakfast transfer to Corbett National Park 275 km takes around 5-6 hours. Check in to the lodge and after lunch depart for the afternoon jeep safari. Dinner, overnight stay at the lodge.

Situated at the southern edge of the Corbett Reserve Park, the Jhirna tourism zone offers some exclusive tiger and sloth bear sightings along with the spectacular view of the landscape which is pretty rich in wildlife. The topography of the Jhirna zone primarily is a dry deciduous type and consists of a large Grassland (Chaur) known as the Laldhang Chaur. This big Chaur is the favorite place for the herbivores of the zone like deer, chitals, nilgai, and elephants. Numerous water streams in this zone nourish the wildlife of this zone and adding the natural ambiance of the zone. Also, the zone is considered an excellent spot for bird watching.

Dhela is a new eco-tourism zone in Corbett National Park included in the tiger reserve zone in November 2014.

Day 3In Corbett National Park

Morning jeep safari to the national park. After early lunch Drive to Dhangadi gate change into the safari vehicle with your baggage and drive through the forest. Take out your Cameras and Binocular as there is a high chance of viewing Wildlife. You can say your safari will start from the time you enter Dhangadi gate. Check into the forest Rest House.

These Forest Rest Houses are unique to Corbett National Park. It is only in Corbett that you get an opportunity to stay inside the national park. The complex is located on the banks of the Ramganga river and overlooks the foothills of the Himalayas. Post lunch proceeds for an afternoon safari in the most scenic national park of India. Only vegetarian food is served here. Alcohol is not permitted here.

Return from the afternoon jeep safari. Dinner and overnight at Forest Rest House.

Day 4Corbett National Park

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris, meals, and overnight at Forest Rest House inside the national park.

Begin your morning safari at sunrise. Corbett has aptly been described as the land of the Roar, Trumpet, and Song. It represents a scene of remarkable beauty. Corbett had the proud distinction of being the chosen venue for the inauguration of Project Tiger in India. The rich biodiversity of the Reserve is partly attributed to the variety of habitats found here. Due to the location of the Reserve in the foothills of the central Himalayas, both Himalayan and peninsular flora and fauna are found in the Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Rest House.

Day 5Corbett National Park

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris, meals, and overnight at Forest Rest House inside the national park.

Day 6Corbett – New Delhi (by surface 275/5 -6 hrs.)

Go for the morning Jeep safari and after breakfast checkout from the Forest Rest House and drive toward the exit gate of Corbett. Do not pack your camera equipment, as the animals do come on this road to say goodbye to you. three nights’ stay seems very less in this paradise. Then drive to New Delhi, 275kms, 6-7-hour drive. On the arrival check in to the hotel or flight to onward destination.

Day 7New Delhi – Jabalpur – Bandhavgarh (flight + 200 kms/4 hrs drive)

Early breakfast, and transfer to the airport in the morning to board a flight at 0555 hrs to arrive at Jabalpur at 0755 hrs. Met at the airport and drive to Bandhavgarh National Park 200kms / 4-hour drive. On arrival check into the Lodge. As per the latest rules laid by the forest department, the afternoon safari to the core zones of the national park is closed but safari in buffer zones is permitted on Wednesday. Afternoon jeep safari to the national park.

Bandhavgarh: The national park is mainly known for the density of its tiger population. This is the place where the famous White Tigers of Rewa were discovered. The other wild attractions in the park include Leopards, Blue Bulls, Indian Gaur (Bison) Chausingha (Four Horned Antelopes), Spotted Deers, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Sloth Bears Fox, Jackals, Wild Dogs, etc. There are at least 22 mammal species and about 250 bird species in the Park. The other animals found in Bandhavgarh are Ratel, Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, Lesser Bandicoot rat, the Jungle Cat, and the shy Hyenas. The reptile population in the park includes Cobras, Kraits, Vipers, Ratsnakes, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, and turtles. The two-primate species – the rhesus macaque and the Hanuman langur – inhabit Bandhavgarh.

Day 8 Bandhavgarh

At independence, Bandhavgarh remained the private property of the Maharaja until he gave it to the state for the formation of the National Park in 1968. After the park was created poaching and hunting were brought under control and the number of animals rose dramatically. The Tigers in particular prospered and the 1986 extension provided much-needed forest to accommodate them. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 9Bandhavgarh

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at the Lodge. Morning and afternoon jeep safari to the national park.

Bandhavgarh has been a center of human activity and settlement for over 2000 years, and there are references to it in the ancient books, the Narad-Panch Ratra and the Shiva Purana. The oldest sign of habitation in the park are caves dug into the sandstone to the north of the fort. Several contain Brahmi inscriptions dating from the 1st century B.C. Various dynasties have ruled the fort, for example, the Magha’s from the 1st century A.D., the Vakatakas from the 3rd century A.D., From that time onwards Bandhavgarh was ruled by a succession of dynasties including the Chandela Kings Bandhavgarh became more and more deserted until forest overran the area band it became the royal hunting reserve. This helped to preserve the forest and its wildlife, although the Maharajas made full use of their rights.

Day 11Bandhavgarh – Kanha (by surface 280 kms/6 hrs. drive)

Morning jeep safari inside the park. After lunch check out from the lodge and get transfer to Kanha National Park. On the arrival check in to lodge dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 12Kanha

Wake up at 0500hrs, have tea coffee with biscuits, and proceed for the morning jeep safari to the National park. Kanha’s sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands, and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor which forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi).

This is the original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book. Packed breakfast which comes from the Lodge is served at a designated spot and spread on the bonnet of the Safari vehicle. Enjoy your breakfast in the wilderness of Kanha.

Continue your search for the elusive Tiger if you have not yet seen the same, and soak in the fresh, and energizing environment. Return from Safari around 1130hrs. Freshen up, and lunch is served. Depart for afternoon jeep safari Kanha National Park. Return at 6 pm from safari. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 13Kanha

Wake up, and get ready for another day of adventure in the National park. The forests of the Banjar valley and Halon valley, respectively forming Kanha’s western and eastern halves. By a special statute in 1955, Kanha National Park came into being. Since then, a string of stringent conservation programs has been launched, for the overall protection of the park’s fauna and flora. Kanha boasts about 38 species of mammals. Some of the inhabitants of this park are the gaur, the largest of the world’s cattle; the sambar, the largest Indian deer; and the Chausingha, the only four-horned antelope in the world.

Other frequent visitors include the Nilgai antelope, the sloth bear, the dhole, or Indian wild dog, and an occasional Leopard. Some 300 species of birds inhabit the park, that includes the storks, egrets, black ibis, raptors, owls, and the Red-wattled lapwings. Depart for an afternoon jeep safari inside Kanha National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 14Kanha

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at the Lodge. Morning jeep safari to the national park. As per the latest rules laid by the forest department, the afternoon safari to the core zones of the national park is closed but safari in buffer zones is permitted on Wednesday. Afternoon safari in buffer zones like Khapa.

Day 15Kanha – Raipur – New Delhi (flight +220 km 5-6 hour drive)

Morning jeep safari in the park. After lunch drive to Raipur airport 220kms /5-6 hrs. drive to board a flight to New Delhi at 1915 hrs. On arrival transfer to the hotel in New Delhi. Overnight stay at the hotel in New Delhi.

Day 16Fly back home

After breakfast transfer to the International airport to board a flight back home.
